Post-processing filters (apply before analysis)

  • Filter OAT floor-zeros (0 °F dropouts) before density calcs

  • Speed/heading for Cd·A & apparent yaw from TrackLogger, not OBD GPSWind itself now comes from HRRR-blend (07-06), but heading/ground speed still needs TrackLogger's 6-decimal 1 Hz fix — legacy 2-decimal GPS (e.g. pre-trip files) is unusable for heading
TrackLogger merge
  • Parse TrackLogger as UTF-16 / tab / thousands-commaencoding='utf-16', sep='\t', thousands=',' — plain-CSV read misparses
  • Merge OBDLink + TrackLogger on absolute wall-clock, not elapsed-secondsLoggers start ~10 s apart (per leg) — elapsed-to-elapsed = ~880 ft error at 60 mph. Recompute offset from timestamps each leg
Sanity checks
  • Δt tight at 2.0 s; no dropped-PID stale-repeats
  • Integrated fuel-rate reconciles to trip-fuel PID
  • Flag results against KB baseline — don't overwrite

Verified 2026-07-05 (settings locked — recheck only if reset)

Fixed 2.0 s frame rate — Δt median 2.000, std 0.003, 100% in [1.993, 2.007], sustained at full 41-PID load. No PID trim needed.
GPS fixed — 6-decimal + precise-location: updates every ~2 s, derived speed matches OBD to 0.6 mph mean / 4.1 mph std. Backup-grade; TrackLogger still the wind/Cd·A authority.
Position-report anchoring — filename-stamp → UTC → elapsed-offset validated against spoken speed/altitude.
HV columns — one Pack-V + one distinct HEV-Bus (≈0.998 corr, not a discardable duplicate).
TrackLogger merge — true 1 Hz (99%+), 6-decimal, live heading/altitude. Two-file merge on absolute time: 0.4 s median match; TL speed vs OBD PID 0.5 mph / 2.84 mph std.
